What is EA SPORTS FC™ 27?
EA SPORTS FC 27 is an association football simulation developed by EA Canada and EA Romania and published by Electronic Arts, released in September 2026. It is part of the EA SPORTS FC series, the successor to the long-running FIFA franchise, and it recreates professional soccer using licensed leagues, clubs, and real player likenesses across men's and women's competitions. The core gameplay loop centers on controlling a team through full matches, combining dribbling, passing, shooting, and manual defending with an emphasis on momentum and player positioning. This entry reworks off-balance dribbling so attackers can hold onto the ball under contact, expands corner kicks into a multi-stage sequence rather than a single set action, and adds a two-player heading system that rewards timing during aerial duels. A revised tactics system lets a manager assign specific roles within a formation and change approach in the middle of a match rather than only between games. Beyond exhibition matches, the game is built around several structured modes. Career mode allows a player to run a club as a manager, handling transfers, training, and squad building over multiple seasons, or to control a single created professional pursuing a playing career. Ultimate Team is a card-collecting mode centered on assembling a squad of real players, including a gallery feature for displaying rare item variants. Clubs offers cooperative online matches alongside other human teammates, and a social hub called The Grounds hosts smaller side games, including five-a-side matches and casual street-style play across themed districts. FC 27 is aimed at soccer fans who want both a single-player management experience and competitive or cooperative online play, supporting everything from short drop-in matches to extended multi-season managerial campaigns.
