Every Game of Review score is a number from 1 to 10 with a short Pros, Cons, and Summary. Here is what stands behind it.
What the score is based on
Our scores reflect editorial judgment, not a fixed formula. When drafting a score, we weigh public signals such as:
- Player reception: the share of positive Steam reviews and how many reviews there are
- Price and value: what the game costs relative to what players report getting from it
- Content and depth: what the game offers, based on the developer's description and player feedback
What the score is not
It is not a verdict from hours of hands-on play by our team, and it is not the output of an automated formula that recomputes itself. It is an editorial reading of public data, and a human is responsible for every score that gets published. If we played a game ourselves, the review says so.
Score scale

| 9-10 | Exceptional. Widely loved, few real complaints |
| 7-8 | Good. Worth buying if the genre suits you |
| 5-6 | Mixed. Wait for a sale or check the Cons first |
| 3-4 | Weak. Serious problems reported |
| 1-2 | Avoid |
How we pick games
We focus on games with a real player base and enough Steam reviews to say something meaningful. We do not review games in exchange for payment.
Updates
Scores can change when a game is patched or player opinion shifts. Updated reviews show the date of the change.
