What we collect
- Account data: if you register to comment, we store your name, email address, and password (hashed, never in plain text).
- Poll answers: our "Quick poll" answers (skill level, device) are stored without being linked to your name or email.
- Technical data: like most sites, our servers log IP address, user agent, and session activity for logged-in and anonymous visitors alike, mainly for security and abuse prevention.
- Contact messages: if you email us, we keep that correspondence to respond to you and to improve the site.
How we use it
We use this data to run your account, display your comments, keep the site secure, and understand which games and apps people are most interested in (via aggregated, anonymous poll and view data). We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Cookies and third parties
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in; it is required for the site to function and is not used for tracking. "Where to get" links may lead to affiliate programs or official stores that set their own cookies once you leave our site — see our Affiliate Disclosure.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated traffic patterns (which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and may process data outside your country; see Google's Privacy Policy for how it handles that data. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy first.
Your rights
You can review or correct your account details from your profile page at any time. You can request an export or deletion of your account and associated comments by contacting us at privacy@gameofreview.com; we will act on verified requests within 30 days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, note the change on this page.
