What is Grand Theft Auto V Legacy?
Grand Theft Auto V is a single-player and online multiplayer action-adventure game set in Los Santos, a fictionalized version of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas. The single-player campaign follows three protagonists — Michael, Franklin, and Trevor — whose stories intertwine through a series of heists and criminal jobs, with players able to switch between them at almost any time. The core loop mixes open-world driving, shooting, and mission-based storytelling. Outside of scripted missions, the city and countryside are open for free exploration, vehicle theft, and countless side activities, from races to random world events. Heist missions in particular are built around planning choices that affect how a job plays out, giving repeat playthroughs some variation. Alongside the single-player story, Grand Theft Auto Online offers a persistent multiplayer mode where players build up businesses, properties, and characters over time, taking part in missions, heists, and competitive modes with other players. The two modes share the same world and engine but are largely separate experiences in terms of progression. The single-player campaign runs roughly 30-35 hours for the main story, while the online mode is designed for ongoing, long-term play. It suits players interested in open-world crime stories and sandbox mayhem, solo or with others.
