What is Cyberpunk 2077?
Cyberpunk 2077 is a single-player action role-playing game set in Night City, a sprawling, corporation-controlled metropolis in a near-future America. Players take on the role of V, a mercenary drawn into a job that goes wrong, leaving them bound to the digitized consciousness of a legendary rockerboy named Johnny Silverhand. The core loop blends open-world exploration with first-person combat and role-playing systems. Players build V through cybernetic implants, weapon and skill choices, and dialogue decisions that shape relationships with the city's various factions and characters. Combat can be approached through gunplay, stealth, hacking, or melee, often in combination, and side content ranges from short gigs to lengthy character-driven questlines that rival the main story in depth. Night City itself functions almost as a character — dense, vertical, and full of optional detail, from side conversations to environmental storytelling. The main campaign runs roughly 25-30 hours, with full completion of side content extending well beyond that. Cyberpunk 2077 is entirely single-player with no multiplayer component. It's built for players who want a narrative-heavy, mature-themed RPG with strong world-building and flexible build options, rather than a game focused on competitive or cooperative play.
