What is WARDOGS?
WARDOGS is a large-scale, multiplayer-only tactical first-person shooter built around territorial control across a sprawling 256-square-kilometer map, with up to 100 players per server split into competing teams. The core objective borrows from King of the Hill: teams fight to hold presence inside a moving 2x2 kilometer control zone, scoring points for numbers held inside it, with a "hot zone" offering double value to raise the stakes. Before each match, players start with a fixed amount of in-game money to buy weapons, gear, and vehicles, then can earn more money during the match itself to reinvest in better loadouts or bank as gold bars. That persistent, economy-driven approach to loadouts means financial decisions carry as much weight as aim and positioning. Built on Unreal Engine 5, WARDOGS takes clear inspiration from a well-known Arma 3 community mod, translating that large-scale, sandbox-style warfare into a dedicated, polished standalone game rather than a mod. Notably, it launched without a battle pass or microtransactions, an unusual choice for a game built around live, ongoing matches. As an entirely multiplayer, team-based shooter, there's no single-player campaign. It's aimed at players who enjoy large-scale, tactical combined-arms combat and persistent economic stakes over the tighter, smaller-scale format of most extraction shooters or battle royales.
